Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers all services, products, and information provided by USA Federal Credit Union. We reserve the right to change this policy and any related provisions at any time.

Protecting Member Privacy
USA Federal Credit Union recognizes the importance of protecting our members' and former members' nonpublic personal information, except as permitted by law. Our obligation is to keep the information you provide to us both secure and confidential. We believe trust is one of the greatest rewards of a good relationship and we value the trust you place in us.

Collection of Personal Information
USA Federal Credit Union (“we”, “our” or “us”) only collects relevant information about our members (“you” or “your”) that the law allows, or requires, us to have to conduct our business. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

•  Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
•  Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
•  Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

We strive to keep our records of your information accurate, and we will respond promptly when we learn of the need for corrections. If you see any inaccuracy in your statements or in any other communications from us, please notify us as soon as possible at (800) 220-1872.

Employees' Access to Member Information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you or need to know such information for business reasons. Our employees are trained to respect member privacy and to follow and understand these policies. Those employees who violate our internal policies will be subject to discipline.

Use and Sharing of Information
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. A joint marketing agreement is a written contractual agreement with one or more financial institutions to jointly offer, endorse or sponsor a financial product or service. We are very selective in choosing joint marketing agreements. Our goal is to be able to pass special savings or opportunities that you can select with confidence. Examples of financial institutions may include, but are not limited to: credit unions, insurance companies, securities brokers, digital signature services, and tax planners.

Choice/Opt-Out
You have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications/disclosures from us and our partners. You may direct us not to make these communications/disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). If you wish to opt-out you may call toll-free at (800) 220-1872 or send a letter with your request to:

Security
Since 1953 we have adhered to internal policies and procedures that protect our members’ money and personal information. We’re also taking all the necessary precautions to ensure your accounts are safe online using 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. This is the most trusted method of securing Internet transactions today.

However, to protect your information we must work together. For your protection a password or PIN (Personal Identification Number) is required to access your account(s) electronically. We recommend that you memorize the password and/or PIN and destroy any written record of the password or PIN. When entering your password online, encryption scrambles your transmissions. To ensure the highest degree of encryption, we recommend that you obtain the most current browser available.

Generally e-mail is not secure. Providing personal information beyond your name, address, e-mail address and phone number is not recommended unless it is sent using a secure (SSL encrypted) e-mail form.

If you have questions about the safekeeping of your personal information or if you want to verify its accuracy, please contact our Telephone Center at (800) 220-1872.

Children’s Online Privacy
We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we’ve collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 we will delete it; and if a parent becomes aware that personal information was submitted by a child under 13 without prior parental consent, he/she may request that we delete that information.
